My 13-year-old nephew is obsessed with movies of the good vs evil genre. This became apparent when I was driving him and his sister to a family holiday destination recently. As all young teenagers do these days, he had his own laptop with him and it was never off. He used it to watch a movie of the good vs. evil type that he’d downloaded from iTunes the whole trip. Needless to say there was none of the car conversation that I had to endure as a child and he wouldn’t have known where we were going, as he didn’t once take his eyes off the computer’s screen. When we arrived he immediately turned on the TV and started watching another of these movies. I managed to ask him about his obsession and his reply: ‘They are so much better than what’s going on in real life’, so I suppose that says it all.

I have to write a school composition on how I can help save the world and I have no idea where to start. Look at the world out there with so many problems. Do I start by doing all my school work and trying really hard so that I do so well I become the Prime Minister and fix it all up. Do I start by helping my next door neighbor who is so sad that she has no friends. Do I help the person I pass on the street who has nowhere to live or do I pick up all the rubbish I see or help save the trees from being cut down so that we still have enough oxygen to breathe. Where do I start? I feel so overwhelmed by how to help save the planet that I can’t even think about it anymore. I can’t wait for the day when I know where I should start.

There was a research that was conducted by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and Health Canada. Both these agencies thoroughly reviewed the drug called YAZ which is a contraceptive that was prescribed to women to avoid pregnancy. The study was done to confirm the hypothesis that usage of the drug increases the risk of blood clots in women when compared to other birth control pills in the market. Besides this, the drug was already associated with some of the most life-threatening side-effects. The research concluded that the presence of progestin drospirenone in the YAZ drug increased the yaz blood clot risk in women significantly. Together with this, it also increased the risk of venous thromboembolism when compared to other birth control pills that had a combination of progestin mixed with oestrogen. These results were released after the British Medical Journal reported them and the necessary actions required are being pondered upon.

For starters, it’s a game that makes you think and act fast. Its not just about hitting the ball, it’s about placing it in a way that makes your opponent fearful and gives you psychological domination. I am swell at this. I don’t compete in Olympics or anything because I think of myself as more of a purest, or a soul player. I play do the thrills and the spills and at the end of he the day, the warm feeling I get by just being around he game, especially when I thrash someone.

No other ship have captured the world?s attention from its making, first voyage and until its sinking. The RMS Titanic was said to be the dream ship of all ships especially that of first class and its engineering was widely publicized by its manufacturer, the White Star Line.

Being considered as an elite transportation ship years back (the Titanic), people excitedly boarded on the ship to be, supposedly, only take part of its historical first voyage in April 10, 1912. But history took an extra mile as the trans-Atlantic crossing turned out as a disaster, leading to the sinking of the invincible ship (the Titanic) beneath the ice cold waters of Atlantic after hitting an iceberg. This year, after 100 years, the ship is still considered the most controversial ship ever known to man and the stories of its survivors and the ship itself are still immortalized into history.
